How the work gets done

Technical skill. Human conversation.

“Tell me what’s getting in the way.”

Offices, shops, hands-on workplaces, home offices, and living rooms all work differently. Computer 911 starts there: listening, looking at what you already have, and explaining the useful options in plain English.

Based in Downriver Michigan. Selected business technology, website, automation, AI integration, and systems projects are available remotely.

Before something breaks

Small Business Technology Checkup

Understand what is working, what is risky, and what is getting in the way before a failure interrupts the business.

Review areas can include workstations, network, Wi-Fi, Microsoft 365 and accounts, email, backups, security, website, software, employee technology, bottlenecks, and repetitive manual processes.

If the person who handles your technology disappeared tomorrow, could you still access everything? Ownership and recoverability are part of good technology management—not a reason to make the whole review fear-based.

Past support experience

Experience Across Organizations Large and Small

Our experience includes technical and customer-support work involving organizations such as: TaylorMade-adidas Golf, Callaway, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Elgato Systems, Wizards of the Coast, AACN, and HotSchedules. That experience includes direct work involving experimental prototype golf technologies for TaylorMade-adidas Golf and Callaway, and end-user support involving specialized Thermo Fisher Scientific instrumentation through a technology partner. It informs a practical approach: understand the work behind the symptom, protect continuity, and match the solution to the business problem. These organizations represent past support experience, not current Computer 911 clients, and their inclusion does not imply current affiliation or endorsement.

Real Problems. Practical Solutions.

Supporting the work, not merely the device

Technology support isn’t always “fix the computer.” Sometimes the job is understanding what the person is actually trying to accomplish.

THE CALLThrough a technology partner, we directly supported law-enforcement personnel and metallurgists using specialized Thermo Fisher Scientific instrumentation.

WHAT WAS REALLY HAPPENINGThis was not simply a computer problem. Users needed help interpreting what specialized instrumentation was reporting about material being analyzed in the context of their work.

WHAT WE DIDWe listened for the real objective, worked through the technology and workflow with the user, and helped bridge the gap between the instrument’s readings and the practical question the user needed to answer.

WHY IT MATTEREDThe job is to solve the actual problem and help the technology serve the work.

Some work was performed through a technology partner. Operational and identifying details are intentionally limited.

When the IT Keys Leave With the Technician

The previous technician knew where the keys were. The business did not. With authorization, we reconstructed administrative control using business ownership records, vendor relationships, and legitimate recovery procedures.

The keys belong in the castle.
